You don't have to be wealthy

Many people mistakenly believe that to have an estate plan in place, or a will prepared, a fair degree of wealth should be at stake. But regardless of whether you have assets that total hundreds of thousands of dollars (or millions for those owning houses in places like Vancouver and Toronto), or those of you of more modest means, you should have an estate plan.
Even a young married couple with few financial assets should at least have wills and powers of attorney in place.
